Meet Our Founder
Hi! 👋 I’m Yasmin Kahkesh, a 16-year-old from Vancouver, Canada, and the founder of Changemakers, an international non-profit highlighting the industry-leading companies in health and food to inspire wellness driven lifestyles.
Growing up in Vancouver, a city at the forefront of health innovation, I was constantly exposed to new food trends, emerging brands, and the power of nutrition. From sampling the latest protein bars at local markets to enjoying plant-based meals at gatherings, I became fascinated by how food can do more than just nourish our bodies—it can drive innovation, build community, and shape the way we live.
Two years ago, I started Changemakers to spotlight the founders and brands redefining health and wellness. What began as a small passion project has since grown into a global platform that has reached over 500K people on social media, interviewed 200+ industry leaders, conducted in-person interviews for over 1K students, and donated hundreds of healthy meals to impoverished communities across Canada.
My goal is simple: to help people make better choices, think creatively about wellness, and rethink what it truly means to live well.
