Shafin started his life in Canada as a child of immigrant parents from Uganda, East Africa. Shafin launched his first company, a matchmaking service called iFlurtz, out of his dorm room at the age of 19. Since then, he has gone on to launch over 40 startups in 21 different countries, employed over 350 people and generated over $1 billion in enterprise value. Outside of his entrepreneurial work, Shafin and his team have donated 10,000 volunteer hours and helped raise more than $88 million in support of these causes.
